product application advantages in terms of process, pearlescent materialcan be applied to all thermoplastics and part of thermosetting plastics. interms of material, it can be used in transparent and translucent plastic resin,and the use of pearlescent material will bring a pleasing visual effect ofcolour. generally, the more transparent resin can fully display the uniquelustre and colour effect of pearlescent material. for less transparent resins(pc/pvc, etc.), due to these resins' processing characteristics, thepearlescent lustre and colour hue can also be fully displayed. theconcentration of pearlescent material used in plastics depends on differentapplication conditions. still, generally, 1-2% (of resin weight) can achievethe good pearlescent effect, and for some film products, the concentration ofpearlescent material as high as 4-8% should be used. some pigments with lowtransparency also need to use higher content of pearlescent pigment or largerparticles to highlight the effect.
